Our Goal
Children have a special place of honor in God’s Kingdom. Jesus demonstrates this by welcoming children with open arms. Our desire as a church is to demonstrate Jesus’ love for children in tangible and spiritual ways through all of our Children’s Ministries.
Our Vision
We will purposefully partner with parents to reflect Christ’s love to the families of our community so that they may accept Him, grow in Him, and serve Him joyfully.
Our Example
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so that He could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother Him. But when Jesus saw what was happening, He was very
displeased with His disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them. Mark 10:13,14,16
Special Events
Throughout the year, we have special functions for our children ranging from Veggie-Tales movie nights to seasonal festivals. Stay tuned for announcments concerning these fun, family-geared nights.
Sunday School
A fun and educational time, Sunday School meets from 9:15-10:15 AM on Sundays during the school year. Our children meet with a warm, nurturing team of teachers in each grade level class. Classes begin at age 3 and continue through grade 5.
Boys’ Brigade
Brigade is for boys in grades 3-6 and runs alongside Pioneer Girls on Monday night from 7:00-8:30 PM. Boys enjoy making new friends, playing games,listening to special guests, and
learning from God’s Word. You won’t want to miss the hiking and camping trips!
Worship Arts Ministries for Children
Children in grades 2 – 6 are invited to participate in the worship life of our congregation by using the artistic gifts God has given them (in music, drama, and the visual arts). Every other year, a larger children’s theater project is taken on, such as the 2008 production of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE by C. S. Lewis.
Nursery
We will lovingly care for your infants and toddlers (toddlers up to age 3)during our morning worship service and Sunday School in our team-staffed nurseries.
Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is a high-energy 5-day event during the summer for kids from our church
and surrounding communities. It is open to children age 5 through 11. As the summer approaches, please call the church office for dates.
King’s Kids
King’s Kings (age 4 through grade 3) is a time for children to worship and learn about God at their level during our Sunday morning service. King’s Kids meets during the 10:30 AM service and is offered year round.
Pioneer Girls
Pioneer Girls meet weekly on Monday nights from 7:00-8:30 PM from October through April. Girls
have fun learning new crafts, playing games, earning
badges, making new friends, and studying God’s
Word together. All girls are welcome. Grades 3-6.
